Joe Harney, Regional manager, and Frank Dulin, Hopkinsville Store Manager, present a $4,820 check to Wend Henderson NTES Media Specialist.
NTES has been selected to receive a 2015-2016 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant in the amount of $4,820 from the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation (LCEF).
Wendy wrote this grant to give the library a face lift. Mr. Voth stated we are trying to create a more comfortable environment that children and adults will want to spend time in reading a good book. We are very proud of Wendy and are excited about this opportunity.
According to Wendy, the mission of our project is to create an environment that will encourage teachers, students, parents and the greater community to collaborate, communicate and share. We envision a library that embraces its rural surroundings and heritage (PAST), meets the needs of our teachers and students (PRESENT), and evolves into a welcoming space that encourages exploration, creation and collaboration for years to come (FUTURE).
